Rocko the Siamese Cat

My cat, Rocko, passed away on November 2, 2010. He was a great cat and a very loving buddy who will be sadly missed.
   
Rocko was a feral kitty when a colleague from work found him in the summer of 2000 living under a dumpster at a pharmacy and she decided to introduce us. When he was a kitten, he would chase and retrieve soft foam balls for me to throw for him. He loved to spend time outside in the backyard.
   
Rocko expressed his love through grooming. He was always trying to lick my beard and he would groom the other cats who would let him. Rocko also liked to give hugs. He would stretch up on his hind legs asking to be picked up then he would hug you on the shoulder and purr. He could never sit next to you, only on you. And Rocko loved his catnip.
   
Typical of the Siamese breed, Rocko always had something to say.
   
Rocko was taken from me far too soon. He was only about ten and he battled kidney disease and congestive heart failure the last months of his life.
   
I hope I was as good to you as you were to me. You made life better by being part of our family and I loved you very much. I wish I could have done more.
   
Requiescat in pace Rocko. You were really a wonderful cat.
