Gretchen the German Shepherd Dog

Our sweet baby girl came into our lives unexpectedly one night. We were driving home late from a Christmas party and found her on the side of the road. She brought so much joy into our lives. We have never had a dog that was so expressive and affectionate. She could not get enough love and attention nor could she give enough. She was always smiling and happy. While we miss her more than words can begin to describe, we take comfort in the knowledge that we could not have loved her more, and she knew that. We did everything we could for her and we were with her until the end. We look forward to the day we are reunited with her. Until then, life will never be the same. We are still beside ourselves with grief, sadness and disbelief, but we are thankful for the six years that we had with Gretchen. She was a beautiful and glorious creature inside and out.
