Groucho the American Shorthair Cat
Published on Jan 1st, 2008
By Wendy Fiolek (New Jersey)
Today I had to put my kitten Groucho to sleep. It was a very hard decision but he was in pain. He had damaged his spinal cord and was getting worse with each passing day. He lost his energy and zest for life. He wasn't eating or drinking anymore. Even though we had him for a very short time he brought so much joy to our lives and we will always remember him. He was a part of our family. He was my baby. He is at peace now. I buried him near a bench. It is nice to know that he is there and that I can visit him anytime. Eventually I will get another cat but not to replace Groucho. He could never be replaced.
