I have a 4 year old paint stud that just reasontly started looking very thin. We could see his ribs, backbone and hips. We started feeding more hay and oats, and started him on a grain supplement. We also gave him a mineral salt block. After doing this he started filling out alot more, but we can still see his backbone. Is this normal for a young horse letalone a stud?
