Long story short:
3 year old guinea pig
Becoming lazyer over past few weeks, put down to her been bored and generaly lazy
This morning happy eating her veg
This dinner time she wouldnt move, had trouble breathing and seemed in a lot of pain
Ive looked her over but couldnt find any physical problems, other than she seems very stiff
When she walks she can only hobble on the heels of her back feet and struggles to even move her front
Shes still very willing to eat and is drinking the same amount
Im totaly stumped as to what is wrong with her
Ive taken her to the vet and hes stuck as well, the only suggestion Ive had is a stroke or some for of liquid collecting, but hes tested for the liquid and isnt sure about a stroke.
Hes looking into a few other things tonight and is going to get back to me tomorow.
Any suggestions will be apriciatedJust an update, for anyone who reads this topic. After a few discussions with my vet we have agreed it was quite likely to be a stroke and since she is now happly back up and walking we are just going to keep an eye on her, to see if she shows any other problems, before running tests.
