been others but my brain is old.Nov 30, 2007 at 6:09 #470196I always name mine on personality or job they are for.
Look at personality if can and name best can.Be different.Nov 15, 2007 at 10:02 #470150My hound becomes more of a attention hog when pregnant. Bigger dogs it does take longer to show. Goodluck and yes do go to vet get ultra sound or x rays to check and see if and how many so can be prepared.
Sep 15, 2007 at 9:29 #491996I had my bloodhoumd shipped from missourri via air.I paid 250 dollars extra also.
Sep 13, 2007 at 12:52 #456877sounds like second puppy stage to me.
Sep 13, 2007 at 12:48 #491989WE fostered alot of Katrina dogs that were placed here and in Milwaukee area.I breed bloodhounds and am picky on who my pups go to also.I ask for personal references, vet reference and such. I have the contract and have them sign before get pup which includes the spay/neuter clause if I want that done, shots, heartworm treaments and a no chained or tied dog clause also. I also got it written in contract that if cannot keep dog it comes back to me not given away or sheltered. I just had one and she was making a will up saying dog would go to hubby if something happened to her then her mom.She was told straight out hubby ok as name on papers as co owner but as far as mom went NO had to come back here and she understood my concern. Contract has to be made in the best interest of the dog.
What I am saying is you must feel comfortable with who the pup goes to.There are sites that have the free option for adoptable dogs that do let you post pic and shots everything with a short bio.Sep 11, 2007 at 10:12 #491985Tell people if contact you must be home checks and all.Make up a adoption contract also while doing this so serious replies only.

Aug 21, 2007 at 4:37 #490855Forgot a few…
1 old walker dog while coon hunting we were training with pups and held Jack back and pup dragged coon over near him and when pulled back got teeth in thigh but he let go and a few times when rescues we had started fighting and I got in middle to stop it. Lucky I vaccinated all the rescues for rabies and all our dogs were also.Aug 21, 2007 at 4:34 #490854Been bit a few times..
First in face by a collie cross (my Fault I was only 9) stepped on foot.
German shepard when was hauling feed cured it though as bit me and milkman all the time and was a sneaker clubbed and tamed right down then owner shot as not mean anymore.GRRRRRRRRR should hit owner.
Bit by a few rescues but because they were scared and abused so niether of our faults..
Am I scared of any dog? No way but do try training kids to never approach a dog without permission in schools when bring my bloodhounds in, and will kill a dog if must if attacks me.Aug 20, 2007 at 12:24 #490842Do not think any grapes as says raisins bad also so would be better to stay away from them.
