It sounds like you have too many animals on your hand that you can care for. Dogs need walks everyday, male and female guinea pigs shouldn’t be near each other, especially if they’re not neutered.. I know it’s easy to buy animals ’cause they’re cute, but each and every one comes with responsibilities, and the owner needs to put their needs before them. Hopefully it will all work out.
Oct 6, 2008 at 1:18 #484039I was wondering, don’t gerbils live to only about two years old? If you buy another one, introduce them slowly in separate cages when you can’t watch them, because they could fight, and you wouldn’t know it, and it can be deadly.

Sep 28, 2008 at 8:54 #438529Having her spayed/neutered will help her anxiety. If you can afford it I would have that done. The cat will feel more subdued, and if you eventually bring in a permanent cat, it would be better for the both.
Sep 26, 2008 at 5:15 #464988Alexa Lyn- i’m glad u posted that, i thought it was only a Treatment, i will definitely start giving my dog a monthly pill. i also have a cat, so i’ll be giving it to her too!
Sep 25, 2008 at 1:13 #491183Yes, I’ve actually watched it several times. I like her way of training and communicating better than the Dog Wisperer. She doesn’t intimidate the dogs like the Dog Wisperer does, and gets results! It’s a good show to watch for people with dogs, even for people who have other animals because you could apply the same skills with any type of pet.
Sep 24, 2008 at 11:46 #490491I hope people reading this, as well as "DreamHunter" learn from Crimson Moon’s comment, as he sums it up nicely. Being extreme on this topic is even too extreme for me, but sometimes it takes that to get your point across to one, and make them think.
Sep 23, 2008 at 7:26 #490488Hi DumplinsMommy, I sent DreamHunter the following msg:
Dream Hunter, you obviously boast your name, and you don’t fool me when you say you do pet rescues; your way of a pet rescue is shooting them to put them out of their misery. Any other person would have drove the 20 minutes to the vets office in hopes they could save the animal, and give it a second chance to life. Even if money was an issue, I’m sure the vet would help it. You sound very gun happy to me, maybe even a little bit obsessed about death- what are you doing watching PETA videos, and browzing animal sites? How did you find this site? This site is about pets, and all your picture shows are your two hunting dogs. Maybe your whole life growing up was hunting, but maybe you need to expand your mind a little, just reverse the situation. If you were hit by a car, would you want someone to drive you to the hospital or them to shoot you in the head?
We would all think he’s a good person, but after his first sinister remark about, how he thinks PETA stands for "People Eating Tasty Animals", then tries to show how he’s such a "good person" by shooting animals so freely, to put them out of their misery, he doesn’t fool me. Just like he says, "he doesn’t waste game", that means his priority is selfish- to eat it!Sep 23, 2008 at 7:22 #490487Dream Hunter, you obviously boast your name, and you don’t fool me when you say you do pet rescues; your way of a pet rescue is shooting them to put them out of their misery.
