My 5 year old neutered male cat seeks out water more than in the past. He’s spoiled and wants special water. He drinks water from my water glass in the mornings, then wants me to turn on the faucet in the lavatory to give him a drink. He also drinks the water drips from the dishes on the door to the dishwasher after the cycle is complete. He’s even drinking from the cat bowls more. He will only eat dry cat food and I give him the kind for urinary tract health. While some of his drinking habits are attention-getting devices, it appers to me that others are not. I know thirst is a symptom of diabetes in humans, but is it possible for a cat to get it?
