Cats are predatory animals..this is what they do. Why would you trap the animal without first talking to your neighbors?? Seems a bit overboard to me.
It’s ashame to me that your neighbors got the cat only to kill mice. I personally do not beleive ANY animal should be left outdoors unattended/fenced.
I am an animal lover as well…but I would leave this one alone.

Personally, I am no fan. For the simple fact that they do not protect YOUR pet.
That said, they work for many people.
I know too many people that have one and their own animals have been mangled or killed by intruding animals. That would break my heart. I have a terrier and a larger dog could easily wound him, fatally.

My dog does this as well. If he seems to be having a bad dream, I wake him up. The other night he was whining and his his head under the bed twice…I woke him up.

Get your dog on a regular feeding schedule and stick to it. Don’t feed treats all day in between. Your dog needs to be HUNGRY when it’s time to eat.

Probably not without professional help. I know many things that you can do but I’m not comfortable with you trying them. I would advise you to seek BEHAVIORAL training…teaching a dog commands is not teaching a dog respect…there is a very big difference.

You don’t use a crate for punishment. Dogs aren’t perfect..just like people aren’t. They require work. If you aren’t willing to work with the dog and be patient, find someone that will-either a rescue or a NO-KILL animal shelter. It also takes an effort to place an animal…either way, you have your work cut out for you.

You need to be firm with your son…from what I’m getting, he is the issue.

I figured out the deal with my cats vomiting. They were gorging. I feed them very small amounts a few times a day now. Helped tremendously.
Switched the dog to Merrick…he loves it…especially the canned ( he gets that at night)..I’ll admit, it smells pretty darn good. Very happy with it. The ingredients ROCK.

Cats can be very nocturnal. They tend to be more active at night. This is very common. My advice is to shut the bedroom door as you probably don’t have a snowballs chance in hell of stopping it.

Yes, I see that you do…how long would it take as I would want to purchase my little Jesse’s painting.
