My 9 year old Alpha female Lab has been "attacking/putting in place" her granddaughter puppie who’s 6 months. We have Bailey(9) Brandy(6) Rebel(6 month), grandma, mama, baby. Bailey has attacked Brandy many times, but now she’s turning on the puppy. To the point her cheeks and face are getting scratched and scarred. The Rebel is literally crying in fear when I go outside to see what’s going on, always a little nip or blood spot somewhere. I’m getting sick of it! She’s a spunky little girl and Bailey is still very playful herself, why does she turn on her so quickly and have to hurt her. And why doesn’t Rebels mom, Brandy, step in or help her daughter out? Also, I feed the big girls and the puppy separately. They’re outside dogs, so when I do hear my puppy cry out and Bailey growling on her I usually go outside and smack Bailey and tell her "no" to "nip it in the butt."
