When i got my puppy last march i was working in a school for just 12 hours per week in a school . So he was only left alone for a short time each day . I was off for the whole summer so he spent his day with us going for drives in the car and long walks .
I am now working thirty hours a week and he is at home for most of the day alone .
He goes mad , I leave at 7.40 and by 8.00 he has done a lot of damage to my home .He chews anything that he can find toothbrushes,inhalers ,hairbrushes , newspapers, the sofa ,etc,
I have installed a dog flap to allow him to get to our large garden . I give him tasty treats ,toys,I leave the TV on . My husband comes in and out regularly , He is walked before we leave and when we come home and then again before bed .
I feel guilty but i also need to work .
I dont think that this is boredom as he does most of the damage in the first hour of the day .
Please help as i feel really bad .
