I had a female dog that would urinate uncontrollably and it turned out to be a hormonal situation. I took her to the vet and she needed just one pill a week to correct the problem.
I would take him to the vet.

I agree with Johannah, a trip to the vet is in order.

If you can catch her and cuddle her, then you can pack her around like a 3 year old child packs around a new doll!
I have dealt with many feral kittens over the years. I seperate them from the other cats so that I am their only company and I pack them around like a doll several hours each day. Sometimes this only takes a day or two, sometimes a couple weeks but it has never failed. Eventually the kitten becomes by best friend!
Talk to the kitty A LOT in a soothing voice while you carry it around with you. Kitty cats seem to like to hear you say their name.
    I hope this helps.

Has your kitten been spayed/neutered? This behavior sounds like it could be hormonal. If you have not altered your pet I would do it right away.
Also there are calming herbal remedies available. There is Calm and Relax and also an herbal remedy from Azmira called Aggression. I would probably spay AND use the herbs if I were you.
Has anyone been playing with the kitty with hands or feet? Never use hands or feet to play with kitty. Always use toys! If kitty tries to play with your hands or feet, keep toys handy and do a quick switch.
If you spray bitter apple or something else kitty won’t like the taste of on your skin, this could help too.
    I hope this helps.

Oh i meant to say a new animal CAN’T take the place of an animal we lose! Sorry about the error.

I do not know if it will work but I would try removing or blocking the bedroom compartment for a week or 2 to get him into a new habit. Then once he establishes his new place to potty, try putting it back. He might continue to use the newly established area. I think old habits die hard but this MIGHT work.

In My opinion, no new animal can take the PLACE of an animal that we lose. However they CAN fill the empty space. I could not be without cats. Have to have them.
Currently I have 5 cats that are in their 20’s. The oldest will be 24 this summer and her name is Sheiba. She sleeps on me all night long. If I turn over, she gets off of me and waits until I settle back in and then she jumps right back up on me. She is my closest companion. It hurts to know she will pass soon. I expect I will lose some cats this year, probably will lose Sheiba. No animal could take their place after all these years. Maybe there is another kitty to fill the space though.
Incase anyone is wondering how my cats live to be so old, I never, ever feed them CATFOOD or any other processed foods. They get home cooking. I avoid medications and use herbal remedies instead. I strengthen their immune systems with herbs as well. I use a holistic approach for them just as I do for myself. Most of my cats live into their late teens and twenties. My dogs are usually in their late teens when they finally pass.
There is a book called Three Simple Steps To Healthy Pets and it is written by Lisa S. Newman. It is a guide to the holistic lifestyle. In the book she does sell her products. Her herbs are awesome but my animals prefer homecooking to her packaged diets. The book does have recipes to make your own animal foods. It is an excellent guide! I hope this helps some people to keep their critters around healthier, happier and much, much, LONGER.

Do you recall what your vet gave your other guinea pig for this condition? Sometimes you can find and order the same meds your vet used right here online. There is Revival and VetServUSA and I am sure many other sites as well that sell pet meds. Was it a shot of ivermectin the vet gave?
Try to remember what the vet did and then see if you can get the medicine to do it yourself. Cannot just let your little baby die!
    I hope this helps.

A sure cure for mites is Diatomacious Earth (food grade). It is safe to sprinkle all over your animal and it kills all types of mites. If you search it online you can find places to order it from. Just be careful that you are getting food grade and not the kind they use in swimming pools. If the little piggy has mites, this will work and it is very inexpensive. Good Luck! My prayers go out to your little piggy and to you.

    You are very welcome!
I really like this site. I just found it today. Seems like there are a lot of nice people here. I look forward to trying to help some of them with their problems. 🙂 Especially kitty related troubles.

Oh good! That is a good dewormer. You must give it twice though for severe infestation. Ask your vet but I think you should dose again in about 10 days or so! Good Luck and I hope your kitty recovers quickly. Oh, one more thing, dump and bleach the litter pan often in the next couple of weeks or the kitty could pick the worms back up!

I am a new bunny owner, I have had my bunny for only about a month but when I researched before getting the bunny, I found many articles that state rabbits will live twice as long if kept out of the extreme elements. So I opt to keep my bunny indoors. I would suggest that you do the same. If I lived in a tropical climate I suppose I would keep bunny outside. 🙂

If there is a bad smell and a lot of gas, your cat is probably wormy and the infestation has caused an infection. If the potty is runny the cat may have giardia or coccidia. You need to get your kitty to the vet at once! Your kitty could die if you do not get help. Please go to the vet as soon as you can.
