my daughter has pet mice 2 .i spend about 5-10 dollars a month.on food and bedding,it is cheaper at wal-mart .the bedding is about 2-3 dollars and the food is about 5 for the whole month.she changes the bedding every 2-3 days .just anuff to cover the bottom and she fills the food bowl every other day.fills water bottle as often as needed.you can feed them some things you eat.like cherrios, sunflowerseeds….etc,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

there is a dog shampoo made with oatmeal that might help.when i was growing up my granny would boil chicken and debone it and feed it to the dogs with dry dog food and it always fattened up the hounds

hey there i have a weinner dog that is 10 years old and she started doing the same kind of stuff, she gets alot of attention but still tears up things.i guess old age is doing it,,,,lol.i bought a spray at walmart that keeps your dog away from places you dont want them .it worked on the things she was tearing up.after awhile she stopped.you might try that and see.
