I wish I had a word of wisdom for you,we have a 2yr.old cockapoo and is chewing and scratching her self all over,we our at our wits end,we have tried everything to help her get some releif from it, but nothing we do seems to help,Our vet said she had allergies and was on predisone from july 10 til aug. 6 I finally weaned her from it.Our vet has no Idea what is wrong with her.She has me about nuts just watching her chew and scratch even all night long some nights.I keep praying that as soon as the hot weather we are having in IA. goes away maybe her scratching and chewing will to.Sorry I can’t help you.maybe someone can help both of us.

I’am so very sorry for your loss,It is not your fault if that vet said to bring her back in 3 months, but if she were my dog I would’ve taken her back when I felt she was loseing to much weight, that vet is at fault here not your GMA,or you,and that vet should have checked out that lump out on her,and not say to bring her back, there had to be something terribley wrong with Yukon,I hope one day you can have a long talk with that vet and ask him what went wrong with Yukon. He would not be my vet.I had a vet like that he took care of my cockapoo for 17 yrs.but he messed up and forgot to tell us that our 17yr. old dog had kidney failure, and was not going to make it,I let that dog go for 4hrs. and had to have her put to sleep, and I now have a new cockapoo, but I have a new vet,But remember Yukon is in a better place free of pain and suffering.
You said yukon did not like being inside,my daughter has a husky and he does not like it inside either, but in IA. it gets 40 below zero or colder, but that dog is in the house in a nice warm basement, and don’t mind it at all.I’am so sorry for your loss.
