I have had 5 ferrets at once in the past, and they are great animals – a cross between a dog and a cat. But, they do have a lot of energy, and would be cruel to keep them in a cage always. They need to come out twice a day to runaround and play! They love toys and treats. They have so much personality. Please do some research, and maybe buying a small book on them at a pet store would be good, as I did. Good luck!
To end this subject on a high note, will dreamhunter consider changing his display name to maybe "DreamRescuer"? You’ll experience great reward if you’re able to save an animal’s life by bringing it the the vet’s or calling animal rescue.

You’re totally right about dreamhunter, where is he where he comes across all these animals that are in pain, and he’s carrying a gun on him at all times? His putting animals out of misery stories probably stemmed from him shooting animals that didn’t kill them right away, then he shot it so it didn’t suffer. When you are a hunter, you automatically are desensitized from killing, as they can kill, clean it, prepare it and eat it. My dad used to hunt, but now he has no interest, he lost all interest in taking lives away.
