I have one cat who is about 1 1/2 years old and one kitten who is about five months old. Our older one is declawed and if she wasn’t she likely would have killed our kitten after we got him.
It is hard to send them in for it because, yes, they will be in pain for a little while but it won’t change their personality or stop them from stretching their legs and muscles. You will feel guilty but both you and your cat will get over it once they fully heal.
