Thank you very much! I don’t at all think she’s unhealthy, I just read an article recently, and it stated that red tails are basically adult sized by their second year. I have a hard time believing that, so I thought I would see if anyone has heard of this before. Maybe mine is just a slow grower? I guess all that matters is she’s healthy!

No, that is not normal. They can make hissing sounds when they feel threatened, but just sitting there relaxed, they shouldn’t be making any noise at all. Sounds like a respiratory problem to me.

Only VERY experienced herp keepers should attempt to keep large snakes. Burmese pythons can weigh 200+lbs! It takes many people to handle a full grown Burmese Python. They can also be very expensive to keep.

Of course! That is not natural in any way for a dog. Dogs are pack animals that need to be with their human "pack" whenever possible. A dog tied out 24/7 will eventually go mad.

I have never had a dog that liked kongs, unless it had food on it or inside of it. They’re expensive too. Dogs lose interest in things they cannot destruct, it’s no fun to them!

Yep, I guess that’s the challenging part of keeping piranhas! How big of a school would you recommend w/ what size tank?

I found a stray emu when I was younger and living in the country. I never knew much about them, but if they’re tame, I think they make interesting pets. "Wild" ones can have a powerful kick, so be careful!

ferrets are carnivorous! Never allow your ferrets to play around other small animals, including birds. They may kill it.

Thanks for the tip! Well I will probably have four, since they can be aggressive towards eachother, and having larger numbers spreads out the aggression, and they recommend keeping them in pairs or more(even numbers). I will have them in a 55gal tank, and then when they out grow that, a much larger tank!

I have known people who use electric training collars that had a lot of luck with that method. But you have to be careful with how you use them though. They work especially well for controlling barking, and dogs running away from you(if they happen to get free).

Then there really isn’t much advise that can be given. Do you and your husband own the house you are living in? You could always move once the baby is born.

I would have to say my favorite are horses, then snakes, then large parots…anything exotic or challenging!

Is there not a way you can file a complaint? Why wouldn’t the police do anything about it? I would be enraged! Maybe y’all are just being too nice to those people. My husband would’ve been over that fence, taking care of business! But then again, he’s in the military, and is real big on respect. He hates inconsiderate people.

You can tell what eggs are fertile by shining a light through it, if you see veins and a dark spot, it’s fertile, if you see nothing, it’s not. And baby birds are not hard to care for, as long as you have the time, b/c baby birds need to eat at least every two hours. I had a baby mocking bird I hand raised after a storm ripped it’s nest out of a tree, killing it’s other siblings, and it was very fun, and I learned quite a bit in the process. I let it go when it learned how to fly, and it reunited with it’s mom, and it’s mom was actually feeding it! I was surprised since it was imprinted on me, b/c I found it before it had opened it’s eyes. I was thankful, b/c I didn’t know how to teach it to feed itself. Anyway, I would definitely go for the hand rearing, it’ll bond you with your bird, and if you take it before it opens it’s eyes, it will think you are its mom.
