If you have limited, or almost no experience with birds, and even if you do, would you risk having a bird & a ferret?
Are you aware of just how much danger ferrets pose to a bird?
    Before you do, remember this:
Ferrets chew legs, and wings off birds, and have been known to kill them.
So please before you take on a bird, do your research first.
Most people who have limited knowledge or get tired of their bird will rehome it within a years time,
thus beginning the rehome cycle for a bird.
For most, this is a devistating blow.
Birds become fodder for abuse, neglect and become unloved and unwanted.
If you take on a bird they need you, and you need to commit to them 100 %.

just to carry on from your post….
just like every other ‘pet’ you intend on having.
I totaly agree with what your saying about been 100% commited and that way too many get rehomed because the ‘owner’ gets bored or struggles with the many issues that come with owning a pet bird but it is the same with soooo many other pets as well. There is a major problem out there with the ease in which people can buy pets and no where near enough rescue center places to deal with all these poor animals. To be honest the only reason that rescue centres should end up with animals is if something happens to the owner of that animal that reduces the amount of care that can be given to that animal on a perminant basis.
As for birds and ferrets… no not a good idea, the only thing I would recommend mixing ferrets with is other ferrets… anything else is risky as it is with mixing any animals, but putting ferrets with birds or anything else of a similar size is just plain daft and should never be done!
