I have been watching a neighbors dog and it is very aggressive. He barks and lunges, but doesn’t bite if you disturb him when hes sleeping. He is also very food possessive with other dogs. He also barks and looks like hes going to attack my dad. what should i do?
Not much if it is not your dog.
Talk to the neighbor about if it is a concern. Try to be non-judgemental and just inquisitive, most people are very defensive and feel attacked when being questioned about this sort of thing.
If I were the owner, I would make sure my dog is first neutered, and then seek behavioral training for aggression.
If you think this dog is a threat to you or your animals, talk to the neighbor about these concerns too, in a reasonable, friendly manner.
