    im getting a new pet and im probably getting guinea pigs but is nail trimming hard??? and ive heard you can get them trimmed at a vet but is it expensive?? plz help me!!

    Getting nails trimmed at a vet isn’t that expensive. It is usually cheaper for a vet nurse to do it though (about half the price).
    Personally, i find it quicker, cheaper and easier to do it myself. You just buy a good pair of nail clippers from a pet store, hold your animal steady and still (get someone to help if it’s easier) and find the nails. Make sure you can see the blood supply and just cut the tips off, just above the blood supply. Continue for all the nails and your done =) Easy peasy! It just takes a bit of practise.

    Personally I get my pigs done at the vets because I’m too chicken to do it myself. The vet I go to here in Canada it costs 10 dollars not too expensive.
