An old friend of mine had a hedgehog and it was constantly having to go to the vet. I don’t know if it’s this way with all hedgehogs or not. You might try calling a pet store and asking them if ferrets and hedgehogs can go together. Sorry, thats all I know.
I have 2 female ferrets ;D and I’m having troubles deciding about getting a new male ferret or getting a hedgehog what would you reccomend and why??? ~ :-/would ferrets harm a hedgehog???~ THX SWIMGUY 😛
African Hedgehogs are solitary animals and as much as they are protected by their spines, they are very vulnerable to predators (including ferrets). So, NO, don’t put ferrets and hedgehogs together, please. They are very different in personality and temperment and are not compatible. Sorry to disappoint.
