Can anyone help? i have a 5 month old black lab who refuses to have his lead put on. He is fine once it is on but he does constantly keep looking at it while walking

Lead as in a leash? I would put it on him while he’s in the house. Just let him wear it all the time, but make sure he doesnt get it caught or wrapped around anything. That will get him used to wearing it. Once he realizes it’s nothing to be concerned about, he should calm down.

    Hi Nicky,

Also try putting the lead on at a positive time- like feed time.
The dog will make a positive assosciation- it worked for me with my German Shep pup, he’s 5 months now and has no probs.

Yeah i agree. Put the lead on him for a while in the house….and let him get used to it.
