is it normal for a rat to want to go back in the cage every time i take them out.
A cage is a home to a rat, so if they’re not used to being out, they might ran back to the safety of their "home". What I do, is put their cage in a room that I don’t mind them running loose in, and leave their door open. Over time, they will want to explore, as rats are very curious creatures. Have you had them long? The more they come out of their cage, the more comfortable they will be. You might also want to put toys out, and treats or food. Hope this advice helps:)
