My birds have some weird hobies. One likes to peek into small, dark places (tunnels, shirt sleeves, cracks in the wall, etc.) and the other sleeps upside down. Both are female budgerigars. The first is about 5 and the other is about 3. Does anyone have any idea why my birds are acting like that?
Those are happy, natural behaviors for birds so they are nothing to be concerned about.
I have two female budgies too! THey can be very surios which explains peeking anywhere nad evrywhere. I havent ever heard of any one of them sleeping upside down though. I have and my two youngest ones do the weirdest things and it’s just adorable. They sound happy to me.
They do sound happy!!
Baby budgies often display strange behaviour because they’re very playful but usually grow out of it when they grow up & become very serious. Few ever keep their playfulness when grown up.
