If you’re rabbit looks like it is in pain take it to the vet. You shouldn’t buy rabbits from pet shops or breeders ONLY rescue centres as there are so many looking for good homes it is COMPLETELY unethical to breed rabbits! Most rabbits don’t like to be held and would rather hop around on the floor next to you. They need large cages where a litter tray, bedding, toys, hay and food can be kept. They need out of the cage for at least 4 hours a day. They should NEVER be given lettuce as it gives them diarrhoea. They MUST be spayed or neutered, as it stops spraying in males and aggression in both sexes, and most importantly more unwanted baby bunnies, that you will struggle to find homes for. I have written this, because there are millions of people writing on this site that have rabbits but have NO IDEA how to look after them. So please if you’re thinking about getting a bunny or any kind of pet, get yourself and any other people living in your house educated on the pet and make sure that everyone is happy with the animal living there. Even more importantly pick the right pet at the right age for you, what you think is the cutest may not necessarily be the best pet for you!
