In May, I am going to my son’s college graduation.
I will be gone for 5 days and 5 nights.
Should I leave Sampson at home and get my neighbor to look in on him, or how can I be sure he’s taken care of? He’s never been left alone day and night.
I work during the day, but I’m home with him at night and weekends. We are very close I don’t know if he’ll take to anyone else.
    Please help !!!!! Thanks.

If there is a kennel in your area I would spring for that.
Five days is too long to leave a dog on his own with just a neighbor to look in on him.
He will be confused and alone too much and that leads to destructive behavior.
Your house will be destroyed and become his toilet, even if his potty habits are exemplary now. They backslide quickly, especially if they realize they are unsupervised.
If he is boarded he will have supervision and regular feeding, exercise and potty times.
He will still miss you but at least he won’t go insane and wreck your home.
