Interesting thought, isn’t it? I don’t plan on dying for a good long time, but: If time and circumstances permit, I will certainly make provisions for a family member or friend to care for any surviving pets after I’m gone, and set aside a sum to help defray the costs. After all, taking on care of someone else’s pet is an expensive undertaking, and it seems only fair. But it will be for the sake of the human caretaker, not the animals themselves.
