I Have an 8 lb. Maltese dog and want to get a kitten i have been told that because cats are bigger than 8 lbs. i shouldn’t get one as the cat might hurt the dog! Is this true does anyone have a cat and a small dog? Are some cat breeds better for getting along with dogs then others? Thanks!
No worries…if you bring the kitten in young they should get along just fine. Even when the cat outweighs the dog. I personally have both a small dog and 2 large dogs and my cat gets along with all of them very well. And my best friend has 4 cats and 2 dogs (one dog is around 4 lbs and the other around 10) and they get along great with her cats. Their size should have no affect on whether they get along.
