I had 5 female gerbil, all related. 1 mother and 4 daughters. They are all 1 year old. All of sudden they have started killing and eating each other. I want to know why all of a sudden they have started doing this and should I separate all of them? I know for sure they weren’t sick and died and the others were getting rid of it because they killed 2 already and both were healthy. Please help before it happens again.
Sorry about the loss of your gerbils,especially in such a gruesome manner.
It seems a sensible idea to separate them, at least until you can find out why they attacked the others.
