My gerbils have mites and I have been treating them with mite spray for birds and I put it on them and in their cage, washing it out with soap and water, and reapply on the gerbils twice a week, but they just don’t seem to go away. I think they are around where the cage sits and they crawl back in. How can I get rid of them quicker, they are chewing the hair off their tails and now have half bald tails. Please help me.
See an exotics vet, bird meds aren’t gonna cut it.
