I wouldn’t use any kind of blankets since he seems to chew on things, they is somthing out here in the states called yesterday’s new..it is a hard compacepted pellet bedding made of recycled newspaper. It stays dry and does blowaround and it is heavy enough not to get kicked too far from the cage and it won’t stick to the would. I’m sure there are other recycled paper products that may do the trick as well. I’m not sure about the tomatoes since I never gave them to my pigs, but kale is great since it has a high level of vitamin C in it.
