I’m very sorry for your loss. About 3 years ago I lost a dear friend Shepherd mix rather unexpectedly also, to AIHA.
I don’t know how to answer your question. I can say I felt a very real feeling that Ray was around after he passed. It was not constant, but when it appeared it was VERY real. It happened three distinct times over the first few weeks after his death. I think this was his way of saying "it is ok" to me.
I, of course, three years later still feel him in my heart. If your dog touched you so much as to ask this question I am sure you will feel her in your heart also.
