i am guessing the reason why the female attacked the male was because he was in her territory. you should never introduce rats in the other rats territory. it should always be done on neutral ground. so the next time you introduce the 2 rats do not put them in either ones cage together. find a spot that neither own and let them meet there. do you each just own one rat? that might be another problem if you each only own that one rat. they could not be use to other rats. and a rat can show no aggression towards humans at all but be super nasty towards other rats i know that’s how mine is. i hope all this helps. good luck.
