You can not and do not own a Burmese, with its sophisticated charm it indeed owns you.
They prefer your cold glass of water to their water bowl and will knock over every glass in the house to try and get it!
If you want someone in your life that will love you unconditionally for so long as they live, in order of increasing love and devotion the top 5 choices are: #5-your best friend, #4-your children, #3-your spouse, #2-your mother, #1-your Burmese!!
It’s too bad they are not more familiar to people. They are gorgeous, affectionate and funny. They are not as vocal active or clingy as Siamese, but still have that Asian Cat mischief. They are both dignified and clownish and wonderful to touch, with that silky, close-lying coat. Very easy maintenance as far as grooming. They are quiet enough for quiet households and active and playful enough for children. A friend of mine had two champagne Burmese brothers and they were wonderful fun.
