Printed on back of musical box: TENSION SCREW - TO TIGHTEN - TURN CLOCKWISE - Makes Harder to Trip - HOP-A-TUNE Box 29099 HOLLYWOOD 29, CALIF.

Printed on side of box: DIRECTIONS: Attach Perch carefully by holding threaded wire between thumb and forefinger of one hand and turning the wooded perch onto it with the other. After your bird gets acquainted with his HOP-A-TUNE tighten the tension screw (top right at back of box by turning clockwise) to make it harder to trip. Your bird will soon learn to bounce on the perch to play a tune. Do NOT overwind.
