We have a 10 year old Newfoundland that we rescued when he was 3. Love the breed, a lot less energy than breeds we are used to at our house. The walks are much shorter. But do think that people should really do more research before taking one of these lovable guys home, like I said he is a rescue. They get big, are furry as can be, and some are quite the droolers. Please take this into consideration before adding one to the family. Large breeds are harder to place. Before you fall in love with the 20 lb bundle of fluff at 8 weeks, consider if you will love it at 200 lbs.
