If you do not mind dog fur around your house, I would highly recommend a golden. They are one of the most loving, gentle breeds that I know. I have had the honour of loved by 2 goldens and know that I have been blessed. Showing a golden patience and love will give you so much in return. They can have a somewhat "goofy" personality, which makes them a special breed all to their own. They are wonderful with babies, small children and other family pets. My golden now who is 11 months always wants to play with our 14 year old cat and the cat understands that the dog is not trying to hurt him. They are the best!
