I have been a fan of beagles almost my whole life. I helped form the local beagle rescue for my area and fostered about 40 of them over a three year period. I care for seven of them now. They range in age from 3 to 11, four of them are over 8. The most important thing to remember about a beagle is they were born to hunt. That's why it's harder to control them outside where they become distracted by nature and anything that moves. With a little work beagles can be outside on a leash and behave well. Beagles really enjoy going on walks and to eat. There is no such thing as a full beagle. It's important not to overfeed them. I think beagle puppies are the cutest puppy there is and that they are very loyal and loving dogs.
