We bought a pony in ireland from a friend of a friend but did not receive any papers. Great pony but not sure of breed etc. Are there dna tests to use to give us more info on our pony? (Lisa Curtin - Minnesota)
Both DNA tests and blood tests are routinely used to determine the actual parentage of a horse. Unfortunately, DNA testing cannot determine anything more about a horse than its species (that is - it is a horse!).
