s/2 Crab Gumbo Bowls Unmarked D.H. Holmes :

This is a set of 2 vintage Louisianagumbo bowls with double handles with the image of a boiled crab on the face. These bowls are unmarked but are identical in every way to the bowls sold by D.H. Holmes store before it went out of business. The body is speckled pottery with a darker brown on the rim and handles. No chips or cracks and the colors are vivid. The brown glaze aroundhalf of the rim on one bowl has a rough texturewhich would be a factory defect - its not scratched or chipped.
These bowls are thick and heavy - weighing over 1 pound each. Please ask any questions before offerding.
