This tweeter has been around since the 1950\'s and used in many high end audio systems. This particular tweeter is dated 6/69 and was originally one of 2 installed in the W90 speaker system. The magnet assembly alone weighs 3 lbs. for a cone measuring only2-5/8\" diameter. Transient response is superb and the tweeter has a sweet, smooth high end. Early versions had a foam surround which was prone to deteriorisation; later versions used a felt surround which was only prone to ocassional insect bites which never had an impact onthe sound. Later versions also were manufactured with a ceramic magnet structure.
