WINDSTONEEDITIONS \"BIRMAN\" SMALL BIRD-WINGED FLAP CAT

This is our “Small Bird-Winged Flap Cat” figurine painted in \"bi-color Siamese\" (we named this color \"Birman\" though, because we didn\'t realize that Birman cats don\'t have white noses). Thiscolor is Limited Production, meaning we will continue to paint more as needed, but we may retire the color at any time.

This kitty is airbrushed in cream with dark brown shading on her face, ears, legs, and tail, and she has creamy white paws and a creamy white nose. She wears a metallic gold-painted chain around her neck set with a single aquamarine Swarovski crystal jewel, and her finish is satin.

This Flapcat is mint with a hang tag and measuresapproximately 3-1/2\" tall. She ships in her original box direct from ourWindstone factory in Oregon.

This piece is not signed or numbered and is for indoor use only.

About Us

Since 1984, museum-quality reproductions of Melody Peña’ssculptures have been perfectly cast in natural mineral stone and meticulouslyhand-painted in our North Hollywood, California studios (now relocated toCorvallis, Oregon).

At the heart of every piece created by master sculptor M.Peña is the artist’s passion for living creatures. This passion, coupled with a lifelong studyof animal behavior and anatomy, and an astonishing gift for three-dimensionalart, results in sculpture so intriguing and lifelike it is without equal.

Growing up in California, Peña surrounded herself withanimals. Keeping more than two dozenaquariums in her childhood bedroom, a pet toad in a wastebasket, and a chickenin a bucket, her collection of pets soon became the subjects of her artwork.

In college, Peña studied biology and zoology in additionto painting, drawing, and sculpture.

Today, the artist is never far from her animals--they arethe living well from which Peña draws inspiration and the models for theincredibly accurate detail in her work.
