This is a VINTAGE LARGE CERAMIC PIGGY BANK 1940-50s WHITE WITH PAINTED PINK BOW AND FLOWERS.
This adorable, plump PIG piggy bank measures approximately 13-14\" long x 6\" wide x 7\" tall. It is white (off-white, vanilla) ceramic with handpainted pink bow and pink flowers with green stems and leaves. She has blond forehead curls and long eyelashes.
Piggy bank is in excellent vintage condition. Some paint (but not a lot) is missing/worn, as can be seen in photos. Cork is missing. There is appropriate light crazing, which is visible when inspected but not distracting. Ceramic surface has normal little pinpoint divots and bumps, etc., inherent in the manufacture. No chips or cracks.
There is no maker\'s mark or label or year visible anywhere. A couple similar listings for banks of the same mold have suggested it might have been made by Hull or Shawnee, but I don\'t know.
Bank is from late 1940s-early 1950s and belonged to me when I was little. Bank weighs about 4.2 lbs.
