VERY RARE Royal Doulton \"1941\" English Churchill Bulldog W/Trinity
Royal Doulton Dog, Bulldog D6182 Medium, designed by Charles Noke.Issued: 1941Size: 7”HColor: Cream. Navy, red, white and blueSigned by Michael Doulton.This listing is for the Large of the 3 Trinity Hat Bulldogs. There are no scratches, crazing, or any defects, kept in pristine condition. This was signed by from Royal Doulton, on November 11, 1996. I will say that it is part of a longtime collectors set. This has recently been appraised with valuation and validation.
The most desirable Royal Doulton breed of dog is by far the bulldog. During WWI the bulldog symbolized the dogged determination of the British people and is now regarded as the country’s national animal. Bulldogs patriotically draped with the Union Jack flag were introduced in 1918 and reintroduced during WWII.These older Royal Doulton Pieces have become very collectible in the past few years because Royal Doulton is now producing most of their figurines overseas. This means that they are no longer stamped \"Made in England\". As time goes by these older figurines will become more valuable and sought after for their \"Made in England\" stamp.
