Model Number, 1379
The Case: The mahogany case is in excellent physical condition. There are no major breaks, chips major cracks that I can see. The original finish is extremely clean and looks fantastic for a clock that is almost 100 years old. This case has not been refinished and is exactly what a collector wants, nothing altered or changed that I can see.
The Dial/Face: The metal dial is clean and shows the usual worn spot, around the winding holes, and is in excellent physical condition with a wonderful patina.
The Mechanism: The Winterhalder 8 day weight driven 1/4 hour chiming mechanism has been running flawlessly. It has a strong ticking sound and keeps very accurate time. The clock chimes, Westminster chime beautifully. The sound of the 1/4 hour chime and hourly strike are wonderful. The sound resonates for a nice long time.
The Pendulum: The Winterhalder pendulum is complete and looks great. I did put a magnet to the bob and it did not stick, it fell off.
The Weights: The 3 brass weights are original and have a wonderful patina and look fantastic. I can not see any dents, breaks, chips, etc...
The Tubes: The 5 tubes are original, and in good physical condition and have a great patina.
The Glass: The clock has 2 panes glass, 2 on the front. Both pieces of glass are original and has a \"wave\" to them..
