This is a motorized Trippensee planetarium model EL - 500. A spring wire connects to revolve the earth, moon andvenus balls around the sun. The gear and ladder chains are driven so that the earth maintains it\'s 23 - 1/2 degree axis, revolves around the sun and rotates on it\'s axis all at the same time. The moon does not currently automatically revolve around the earth but a small repair should correct this. Venus also revolves around the sun, and can be positioned by hand to show phases and where it is located as the morning or evening star. Stand has paint loss and the earth has some minor scratches as well. The motor works and this will come with a working light bulb.

****CORRECTION - Please note - I listed this as the motorized version and it is not! It is a manual model - so I believe I have the model number incorrect as well. The arm mechanism does move but only manually. The wiring supplies electricity to operate the light. ********
