First, I need to say that I\'m not an expert on toy sewing machines. I\'ve been given these to sell on consignment but the lady (from whose collection these came) has moved several times, the latest into a Care Facility, and most records became lost. I\'ve done my best to date and describe these machines but if anyone viewing this or any other TSM I have up for sale has any information I heartily encourage you to please step forward and share it.
This is the Singer Model 20 Sewhandy and these were from the 1950s. It includes the thread route numbering system. It has the \"V\" shaped grove for the clamp, which was specialized just for these types and it does include the clamp. Comes with a needle. The wheel turns without issue but is just a little stiff. Has the gold Trade Mark with The Singer Mfg. Co. Seal (see photo). Says \"Made In Great Britain\" on the machine. SIMANCO 29962 is stamped on the underside of the machine. I\'ve sold several of these in the last few years and this one is one of the better looking ones of the bunch. The machine has been played with but its also been well taken care of. The color is beige or tan or a light brown and the paint job is smooth not crinkled or textured. It\'s not perfect and I\'m not claiming it is but, really, aside from some scratches here and there, some tiny nicks to the paint job here and there and an area of wear where the clamp fits the machine this presents very well. I would call it VGC but judge for yourself by the photos. Stands approx. 7\" high to the top of the thread holder, Length is 6\" at its widest, Base is 4 1/2\"Long x 3 1/4\" wide. I do not know if any parts are missing. This is a vintage toy. Do your own research, study the randomly selected photos and ask any and all questions before offerding.
