OriginalStancodiecast chrome radiator cap with a distinctive Art Deco streamlineddesign made by the Stant company.Stant has been in business since the early 1900s and was a manufacturer of both original equipment and aftermarket ornamental caps and mascots. Online research indicates this type of cap was used in the 1920s and 30s but I do not know exact year, modelor application for this example.4\" wideby 1\" high, 3\" inside diameter at base. It is made fromheavy diecast pot metal, chrome plated,with athree-prongedsteel bayonet mount and leather gasket.Makers mark \"STANCO\" and \"THE STANT MFG. COMPANY\" on back. Goodused condition, no stress cracks, corrosion, material lossor pot metal swelling on the exterior. Some light scratches and edge nicks,the original plating is intact and shiny but the surface is pitted.The steelmountis intact but heavily rusted and the gasket is curled up and dried out so I doubt they would be useable.Great for your collection, use as is on a driveror easily restored.U.S. buyers will pay $7.15 Priority shipping, International shipping cost will vary based on location. .
