The piece is a souvenir of QueenVictoria\'s Golden Jubilee Festival in Leek, held at the Pickwood RecreationGround on 21 June 1887. 5,000 of these mugs were presented to school childrenby William Challinor.

The mug measures 3 3/8\" high, 3 ¾\" from handle to rim and has a 3 ¼\" base. The underside has the standard Edge, Malkin & Co. printedmark circa 1871-91.
