Beautiful 19-20th Century opera glasses or binoculars in very good condition. The bone is likely cow bone given that it was one of the most widely accessible form of bone at the time. The grain of the wonderfully crafted bone around the barrels is stunning and the glasses themselves are in full working order and are perfectly clear.
The material extends also to the eyepieces. The bone does have minimal age wear but this doesn\'t affect the smooth feel as the lines cannot be felt. In fact it has more in the way of character as a result.All in all these are wonderful antiques at a superb price!
